Cartridge Cleaning 101

Have you been having a blast all summer, but suddenly can't get enough flow through your system? 🤔 It’s cartridge cleaning time! Accumulated debris from over the course of the season may be clogging your filter and preventing heaters, salt systems and other water features from functioning properly. 🧼 Here’s how to properly clean cartridges and restore your flow:
🫧 Pre-rinse: Quick spray-down with the garden hose to remove any obvious twigs or plant matter from between the pleats.
🫧 Soak: Let your cartridges sit in a large container with water and a filter cleaning solution overnight. This will break down oils and other hard-to-clean contaminants.
🫧 Rinse: Use a garden hose with or without a cartridge-cleaning attachment to rinse off your cartridges once more, paying special attention between the pleats.
🫧 Install: Reassemble your filter with your clean cartridges. Some cloudiness may occur when first starting the pump, but trust that your filter will catch it all again quickly.
